I really enjoyed the account of your first job after college as a cub reporter. I found the "inside" look quite revealing actually... I'm glad that when all was said and done that you have today found value in that first journalism job. That "Doris" in Production sounds like she was a handful. LOL!
Sometime after listening to this episode I happened across a young woman who was majoring in Journalism. She is very young and very much in her college senior year. She was going on about how lazy she is and how she wants to coast through her last year. I recalled what I had just head in MTW 131 and I was thinking to myself "oh dear honey... you're never going to make it in journalism if you don't have the inborn desire to hustle for a story..."
As always, an excellent choice for your outgoing music.
